## Chapter 22: Time Determination in Relation to Different Types of Beings
**114.** What is the time of the lowest state of existence (**jahanna**), in relation to different types of beings, for the twelve **kṣayās** (afflictions) of **mithyātva** (false belief), **samyaktva** (right belief), **apratyākhānāvaraṇa** (non-rejection of the veil), etc., and the three **vedas** (knowledge)?
**115.** The lowest time is one moment (**egasamo**).
**116.** The highest time is a countable number of moments (**saṁkheja samāya**).
**117.** What is the time of the lowest state of existence, in relation to different types of beings, for the four **kṣayās** of **sammāmithyātva** (right false belief) and **ananta-anubandhī** (infinitely connected)?
**118.** The lowest time is one moment (**egasamo**).
**119.** The highest time is an immeasurable part of an **āvalī** (a period of time).
**120.** What is the time of the lowest state of existence, in relation to different types of beings, for the six **nokṣayās** (minor afflictions) of **hāsa** (laughter), etc.?
**121.** The lowest and highest time is an **antarmūhurta** (a short period of time).
**Explanation:**
The lowest state of existence for the twelve **kṣayās** and three **vedas** is one moment, because their complete destruction occurs in the second moment. The highest time is a countable number of moments, because there are many beings who experience the lowest state of existence for a countable number of moments.
The lowest state of existence for the four **kṣayās** of **sammāmithyātva** and **ananta-anubandhī** is one moment, because their transformation into their true nature occurs in the second moment. The highest time is an immeasurable part of an **āvalī**, because an immeasurable number of beings experience the lowest state of existence for an immeasurable part of an **āvalī**.
The lowest and highest time for the six **nokṣayās** is an **antarmūhurta**, because this refers to the time of the final state of existence.
**Note:** The term **jahanna** refers to the lowest state of existence, while **ukkas** refers to the highest state of existence.
