Exposition of the Divisions of Prakritis, Time, and Locality
83.
Thereafter, he destroys the sixteen Prakritis: Styanagriddhiḥ, Nidrā-nidra, Pracalā-pracalā, Narakagati, Tiryaggatī, Narakagaty-anupūrvī, Tiryaggatyanupūrvī, Ekendriya, Dvīndriya, Trīndriya, and Caturindriyajāti; Ātāpa, Udyota, Sthāvara, Sūkṣma, Sādhāraṇa-śarīra. Although these Prakritis are not of the Mohanīya-karma, but of the Darśanāvaraṇa (three) and the remaining thirteen of Nāma-karma, their destruction occurs at this very stage. Even after their destruction, the thirteen Prakritis of Mohanīya-karma remain the master of their divisions. Thereafter, he goes for one Antarmuhūrta and makes the complete destruction of the Manaḥparyāya-jñānāvaraṇīya and Dānāntarāya Prakritis. After another Antarmuhūrta, he makes the regional destruction of the Avadhijñānāvaraṇīya, Avadhidarśanāvaraṇīya, and Lābhāntarāya Prakritis. After another Antarmuhūrta, he makes the regional destruction of the Śrutajñānāvaraṇīya, Acakṣuḥ-darśanāvaraṇīya, and Bhogāntarāya Prakritis. After another Antarmuhūrta, he makes the regional destruction of the Cakṣuḥ-darśanāvaraṇīya Karma. After another Antarmuhūrta, he makes the regional destruction of the Mati-jñānāvaraṇīya and Paribhogāntarāya Prakritis. After another Antarmuhūrta, he makes the regional destruction of the Vīryāntarāya Karma. After another Antarmuhūrta, he undertakes the internal destruction of the thirteen Cāritra-moha Prakritis, the four Saṃjvalana-kaṣāyas and the nine Nokaṣāyas. At the same time, he commences the seven Āvaśyaka-karaṇas that will be explained later in the Kṣapaṇādhikāra. From the second moment of the internal destruction up to one Antarmuhūrta, he destroys the Napuṃsaka-veda and becomes the master of the twelve Prakritis of the Sattva-sthāna-vibhakti. Thereafter, from the second moment up to one Antarmuhūrta, he destroys the Strī-veda and becomes the master of the eleven Prakritis of the Sattva-sthāna-vibhakti. Then, to destroy the six Nokaṣāyas - Hāsya, Rati, Arati, Śoka, Bhaya, and Jugupsā - he transfers them to the Krodha-saṃjvalana through the process of Sarvasaṃkramaṇa. In this process also, one Antarmuhūrta elapses, and during this time, he becomes the master of the five Prakritis of the Sattva-sthāna-vibhakti. Thereafter, in less than two Āvalī-kāla, he destroys the Puruṣa-veda while performing the Aśvakarna-karaṇa and becomes the master of the four Prakritis of the Sattva-sthāna-vibhakti. Then, in one Antarmuhūrta, he completes the Aśvakarna-karaṇa and performs three Bādara-kṛṣṭis, one each, of the four Saṃjvalana-kaṣāyas. After the Kṛṣṭi-karaṇa, he destroys the three Kṛṣṭis of the Krodha-saṃjvalana, one by one, in an Antarmuhūrta and becomes the master of the three Prakritis of the Sattva-sthāna-vibhakti. Thereafter, in an Antarmuhūrta, he destroys the three Kṛṣṭis of the Māna-saṃjvalana and becomes the master of the two Prakritis of the Sattva-sthāna-vibhakti. Again, in an Antarmuhūrta, he destroys the three Kṛṣṭis of the Māyā-saṃjvalana and, going within two Āvalī-kāla less than two moments into the first Kṛṣṭi of the Lobha-saṃjvalana, destroys them and becomes the master of one Prakṛti of the Sattva-sthāna-vibhakti. Thereafter, in the proper sequence,
