Kasaya Pahud Sutta [Western Skandha - Arthaadhikār 50. Samuccinnakriyamanivattisukkhadhyanam jhayati. 51. Selesim addhae jhinaae savyakammavippamukko egasamaeṇa siddhiṁ gacchai. 52. Khavanadando samatto.
Paschimakkhando atthahīyaro samatto. They attain, that is, they enter the fourteenth Aayogikevali Gunasthan. At that time, their eighteen thousand types of conduct and eighty-four lakh Uttar Gunas are fulfilled. Although the said conduct and Uttar Gunas are also considered to be possessed by Sayogijins, there is no complete restraint due to the proximity of yoga, therefore, Paramopekshalakshna, as described, the ultimate limit of Viharashuddhi Samyama is possible only when Yoganirodha occurs. Some Acharyas, considering the Prakrit word 'Selesim' as the Sanskrit form 'Shaileshi', also interpret it as follows: Just as a mountain, like Mount Sumeru, remains eternally immobile and unshakable, similarly, due to the absence of yoga, the state of Aayogijins becomes completely peaceful, stable and unshakable. The duration of this Shaileshi state is equal to the time taken to pronounce five short vowels.
Churnisu - At that time, the Aayogikevali Jins, who have attained the Shaileshya state, meditate on the fourth Shukla Dhyana, called Samuccinnakriyanivriti. When the Shaileshya period is over, they become free from all karmas and attain Siddhi in one moment. 50-51.
Churnisu - Thus, this Kshapana-Dandaka, which is the culmination of the Kshapanaadhikār, ends in this Western Skandha, which lays down the rules for the destruction of Aghatiya Karmas. 52.
Thus ends the Arthaadhikār called Western Skandha.
1 The time of the Aayogikevali Gunasthan is called Shaileshya. It is the definite opinion of the Agamavids that it is limited to the time taken to pronounce five short vowels. In that state, as the lower state gradually melts away, the one who is free from all impurities and karmas attains Siddhi, which is characterized by the realization of the self, and which is the fulfillment of all human goals, and attains the highest state of perfection in one moment. This is because the appearance of Moksha is possible only after complete liberation from all karmas. Jayadha.
