The pleasure gardens are located in Sugriva portion and liquor shops in Dantaka. Officiating priests are given residence in Roga portion and the tower for having a view of the city is built in Soşa part. These towers have generally 12 storeys with openings and protectives for having a convenient view of the city. The stables for elephants and horses are assigned to Bhujanga and Kinnara portions. The pilgrim's residence is provided for in Bhuskara portion. Recreation clubs are provided for in the īścina portion. The technical terms for rulers residing in particular types of cities are:

Vacant spaces at the end of streets and between structures that are of triangular or irregular shape are called by the name Nārāca and they are also classified into Dēva, Mānusa, Paiśāca and Riksasa. These places are left vacant as they are. But some authorities allow these grounds to be used for cattle or for putting up small huts, but the better opinion is the first.
