important task of editing and examining the final proofs. And still others have undertaken the most difficult work of entering this vast literature into the computer, the painstaking task of correcting the proofs and the exacting job of page-setting the material for publication. A sādhaka has given the scholarly service of writing the Hindi summaries of the discourses and selecting important passages and peyyālas (repeated passages which are omitted in most editions) related to Vipassana, etc.
And finally, our deep gratitude to the most revered teacher, Shri Satya Narayan Goenka, without whose inspiring presence and noble guidance, this Pāli publication work would not be possible.
