॥ पटौ फः ॥ १७ ।
यन्ते पटि धातौ पस्य फो भवति ।
Ph is substituted for p in the root Pat when in the causal form ; as फालेइ, फाडेर (पाटयति ) ।
॥ फो भहौ । १८ ।
स्वरात परस्यासंयुक्तस्थानादेः पस्य भहौ भवतः ।
Bh or h is substituted for a single and noninitial ph when preceded by a vowel. fag: In some words bl only is substituted ; as रेभो (रेफः) ; सिभा ( शिफा ) ; कचित्तु ह in other instances / only is substituted मुत्ताहलं (मुक्ताफल); afagurafa instances may be found where both bh and h are substituted in same words as सेभालिश्रा, सेहालिश्रा (शेफालिका); सभरी सहरी (शफरी) ; खरादित्येव the substitution does not occur when ph is not preceded by a vowel, as गुफद्र (गुम्फति); संयुक्तस्येत्येव neither when it is not single as पुष्कं (पुष्पं); श्रनादावित्येव nor when ph is initial as फणी | १

स्वरात_ परस्यायुक्तस्यानादेर्बस्य वो भवति ।
V is substituted for a single and noninitial B when preceded by a vowel, as अलावू अलाऊ ।
॥ विविन्यां भः ॥ २० 1
विसिन्यां वस्य भो भवति ।
१ । शौरसेन्यां फस्य दर In the Sauraseni only h is substituted for ph. In Jaina Prakrita b is substituted for म (जैम प्राकृते मस्थाने वो भवति) वम्मी (मन्मथः) ।
