it is quoted by the commentators of the Amarakośa-Sarvananda,1 (1159 A. D.) Kshirsvamin, and Rayamukuta. 8 Vamana's Linganusasana and the Vrtti are often found quoted by Hemachandra in the Vivarana on his Lingânusasana. 4
Authors mentioned or quoted by Vâmana.-Vâmana mentions in the present work the names of Panini, Vyâḍi, Vararuchi and of the grammatical works-Chândra and Jainendra. There are also quotations from the Rgveda, Mahabharata, Mahabhashya, Harshacha rita and Śiśupâlavadha. Two quotations remain untraced.
