નવી [૨૮] વયમા
विरुद्धतवमन्तव्ये न स्यादुत्तेजिताशयः ।
प्रेम्णा प्रबोधयेत् तं वा तूष्णीं वा सहनो भवेत् ॥ ५४ ॥
વિરુદ્ધ મન્તવ્ય ધરાવનાર તરફ ઉત્તેજિત ન થઈએ. તેને પ્રેમથી સમજાવવાના પ્રયત્ન કરીએ; અને જો તે શકય ન હોય તે સહિષ્ણુ ની મૌન રહીએ. ( ૫૪ )
(54) We should not be agitated over the opposite views held by others. Either we should lovingly try to expostulate with them, or if that be not practicable, we should observe tolerance or forbearance and remain silent.
नैकमत्यं जगत्यासीनास्ति नैव भविष्यति ।
जगत्स्वभावो हीदृक्षस्तत् स्वसाभ्यं न लुटयेत् ॥ ५५ ॥

એક મત જગમાં થયે નથી, થાય હું અને થશે પણ નહિ. જગા એ સ્વભાવ જ છે. માટે અન્યના કારણે પેાતાની સમવૃત્તિની દોલતને શા માટે લુંટાવા દેવી ? ( પપ )
(55) In this world unanimity of views has never existed, does not exist at present, nor will it exist in future. Seeing that such is the natural and ordinary course of the world, one should not allow one's treasure of mental equilibrium to be looted.
याद स्यात् परवादोऽपि सम-जिज्ञासुवृत्तितः । મુલ-બયા જારી સ્વાદુમયોઃ સયશોધનો ! ૬૬ #
પ્રસંગ પર બીજા સાથે વાદ-ચર્ચા કરવી પણ ખુરી નથી, પણ તે સમષ્ટિથી અને જિજ્ઞાસુ બુદ્ધિથી થાય તે જ સત્યશેાધક ઉભયને સુખકર અને શ્રેયસ્કર છે,(૫૬)
