મા-fભૂતિઃ अन्तर्निगूढवैराग्या गृहवासस्थितावपि ।
विवेकिव्यवहारास्ते आदर्शपुरुषोत्तमाः ॥ ६॥ ગૃહવાસમાં પણ તેમના અન્તઃકરણમાં વૈરાગ્યવૃત્તિ વહેતી હોય છે. સાથે જ તેમને લૌકિક વ્યવહાર વિવેકશાલી હોય છે. તેઓ પ્રથમ શ્રેણીના આદર્શ પુરુષે છે. (૬)
(6) Even while they are leading the life of a house-holder, their hearts are incessantly inclined towards, and saturated witb, deep feelings of detachment. Nevertbeless their worldly affairs are conducted with proper discrimination. They are the ideal persons of the first order.
समये वर्षपर्यन्तं दानं कृत्वा यथाविधि ।
संन्यासदीक्षां गृह्णन्ति दीप्रवैराग्यतेजसः ॥७॥
જ્યારે તેમને સંન્યાસ-દીક્ષા ગ્રહણ કરવાનો અવસર ઉપસ્થિત થયે જણાય છે ત્યારે તેઓ યથાવિધિ દાન આપે છે, એક વર્ષ સુધી આપે છે. પછી, શ્રેષ્ઠ વૈરાગ્ય-તેજથી દેદીપ્યમાન તેઓ સંન્યાસ દીક્ષા ગ્રહણ કરે છે. (૭)
(7) When the proper time for their initiation into the order of asceticism involving renunciation of the world, arrives, they then begin and continue to give gifts in charity in an appropriate and proper manner during the whole period of one year, and after that they, shining with the great lustre of detachment, adopt the order of asceticism.
अपूर्णयोगाः प्राग्गत्यां तपोऽनुत्तरयत्नतः ।
साधयन्ति महात्मानः शम-संयमभासुरम् ॥८॥ પૂર્વભવમાં તેઓ યોગ સાધીને આવ્યા છે, પણ તે અધૂર રહે છે. હવે નવેસરથી ભૂમિકા માંડી તેઓ અનુત્તર બલથી તપ કરે છે. તેમની યોગસાધના શમ અને સંયમથી પરિપૂર્ણ હોય છે. (૮)
(8) They have come to this life, after having, in the preceding life, practised Yoga which has nevertheless remained incomplete. Now, here in this life, they again begin with in. comparable exertion the practice of Yoga beautified by mental quiet and restraint of senges,
