મનપો [૨૮] વધુમા
અન્તઃ ।
उत्तमं विश्वकल्याणकल्याणी भावनं तपः । प्राक्तृतीयभवे कृत्वाऽर्हन्तः स्युः पुरुषोत्तमाः ॥ ४ ॥
અર્જુન
પૂર્વ ત્રીજા ભવમાં વિશ્વકલ્યાણની મોંગલ ભાવનાથી પરિપૂર્ણ એવે ઉત્તમ તપ કરી અન્તા, જેએ ઉત્તમેત્તમ કોટીના પુરુષ છે, અવતરે છે-વચમાં એક લવ કરી અહંભવમાં આવે છે. (૪)
अर्हत्
Arhats (Superior divinities)
(4) Arhats who represent the best and highest type of human beings, have, in their preceding third life, practised great austerities being filled with the laudable idea of working for the good of the universe. They then, after passing one life in the interval, are again born in the life in which they attain spiritual divinity or the perfect knowledge. This last life is called Arhat-like.
अर्हद्भवं समायान्ति ते महापुण्यसम्पदः । लोकोत्तर विभूतीनामास्पदं स्युश्च जन्मतः

અભિવમાં તેઓ મહાન પુણ્યસ'પત્તિ સાથે આવે છે. જન્મથી જ તે લેાકેાત્તર વિભૂતિના ધારક હેાય છે. (૫)
Aho! Shrutgyanam
(5) When they are born in the Arhat life, they come equipped with an ample stock of high merite. From their they are the abode of extraordinary grandeur.
