25. At the time of the maturation of evil kārmie forces, unbearable and irremediable miseries befall embodied beings. None is able to protect them against those miseries. The saints are considered to be the refuge because they point out the correct way to overcome the poignancy or acuteness of those miseries ).

मवोदधिर्जन्मजरावसानययः प्रपूर्णः स्मर - वाडवश्च । मोहात्मकावत्-विपत्तिमत्स्यः कुतः सुखं सम्भवतीहसीह ?

૨૬. ભરૂપ સમુદ્ર, કે જે જન્મ, જરા અને મરણરૂપ પાણીથી ભરેલા છે, જેમાં કામરૂપ વડવાનલ દલિત છે, મેહરૂપ વમળ છે અને વિપત્તિરૂપ માછલાં છે, આવા ભ-સમુદ્રમાં સુખ હોય? હાઇ શકે?
26, Samsăra-1}} āvarā; The ocean of worldly existence is full of the weters in the form of birth, old age and death, ud contains the submarine fire in the form of cupid, whirlpool in the form of ignorance, and fishes etc. in the form of calamities. In hueh a world | Sa āra] how can we look for unmixed and permanant happiness ?

Ratfor: प्राणभृतो गतागतं कुर्वन्ति संसार- वने विभीषणे । विधाय पापं स्व- परार्थमीयिवानत्राण एको हि परत्र पीड्यते ॥ २७ ॥
૨૭. ભયંકર ભવ જંગલમાં પ્રાણી એકલા ચતંત્ર ગમનાગમન કરે છે, માહવશ, ઉપાધિમાં પડી, સ્વ-પરને સારુ પ પે કરી એ એકલે પલેક સિધાવે છે અને ત્યાં ચારે રક્ષણ વગરના એકલા જ પેાતાનાં દુષ્કર્મીના દુવિપ કે ભાગવે છે.
