મોહ હણાઈ જ જાય છે, જ્યારે ક્રોધાદિને નાશ થતાં પણ મોહ અવશેષ રહે છે.

लोभोऽस्ति चिन्ता- लतिकासु कन्दो रक्षो गुणानां कवलीकृतौ च । महांश्च विघ्नः पुरुषार्थ-सिद्धौ जयत्यमुं सत्र- समुद्र-चेवाः ॥७१ ॥
૭૧. ચિન્તારૂપ લતાઓને કદ લોભ છે. ગુણને કોળિયા કરી જનાર રાક્ષસ લોભ છે. પુરુષાર્થસિદ્ધિમાં મહાન વિઘભૂત લોભ છે. એને કોણ જીતે? જેનું ચિત્ત સર્વને સમુદ્ર હોય તે.
71. Greed is a bu bous rooi of the crue part in the form of anxieties. It is a demon devouring, aa in a mouthful, good virtues, It is a great impediment to the achievement of success, or to the expanding of a manly effort for the noble motive. He whose heart is an ocean of vitality or spirit, subdues it.
चेत सात्विकस्ते पुरुषाभिमानो यद्यस्ति लोकाग्रपदोपलिप्सा । स्फारं परिस्फारय तर्हि लोभ प्राकार--भङ्गाय बलं स्वकीयम्

૭૨. જે તારે પુરુષાભિમાન સાત્વિક હોય અને જે લોકના અગ્ર પદે પહોંચવાની તારી ઉત્કંઠા હોય તે લેભરૂ૫ કિલ્લાને નાશ કરવા તારું પિતાનું બળ ખૂબ રિવ !
