चतुर्थ-प्रकरणम्

लुण्टाक एकः खलु मोक्ष-मार्गे सम्प्रस्थितानां सुमहाशयानाम् । स लोभनाम्ना जगति प्रसिद्धा मोहस्य राज्ञः प्रथमः प्रधानाः ॥ ६८॥
૬૮. માક્ષના પ્રવાસે નિકળેલા સજીને લૂંટનારાઓમાં જે એક બહુ જબરદસ્ત લુંટારે છે તે જગદ્વિખ્યાત લેભ છે, તે મે હરાજાનો મુખ્ય પ્રધાન છે,

भवस्य मूलं किल लोभ एको मोक्षस्य मूलं तदभाव एकः । एतद्धि संसार-विमुक्तिमार्ग-दिग्दर्शन योगबुधा अकाषुः

૬૯ સંસારનું મૂળ એક લેભ (તૃષ્ણા) અને મોક્ષનું મૂળ ફક્ત તે અભાવ, આ પ્રમાણે ગવશારદે સંસાર અને મુક્તિના માર્ગનું દિગ્દર્શન કરાવે છે.
69. Indeed, Greed is the root-cuure of Samsara aud the complete absence of it is tbe solts suree of Absolution. Wise persons who are authority ou Yoga, have thus outlined the varying ways to Samsara and Absolution (संसार and मेक्षि).
सुदुर्जयानां प्रथमोऽस्ति लोभस्तस्मिन् जिते कि न जितं त्रिलोके ? लोमस्य घाते हत एव मोहः क्रोधादिनाशेऽव्यवशिष्यतेऽसौ ॥७॥
૭૦. જેમને જય મેળવે બહુ મુશ્કેલ છે તેમાં લેભને નમ્બર સહુથી પહેલે છે. તે જિતાતાં ખેલ જગતમાં બધુંય જતાઈ જાય છે, તેમ હણાતાં
