૧૦. કીડીથી માંડી ઇન્દ્ર પર્યન્ત તમામ જીવોને સુખ પ્રિય છે અને દુઃખ અપ્રિય છે. આમ સમજનાર સુજ્ઞ કયાંય હિંસાનું આચરણ

शरीरिणां वल्लभ-वल्लभं च प्राणाः स्वकीया इदमर्थमेव । साम्राज्यमप्याशु जनास्त्यजन्ति तत् किंविधं दानमलं धाय ? ॥११॥
૧૧. પ્રાણીઓને વલ્લભમાં વલ્લભ પિતાના પ્રાણ છે, એને માટે મનુષ્ય રાજ્ય-સામ્રાજયને પણ ત્યજી દે છે, તો પછી કયું દાન એવું છે, જે, હિંસાના પાપની શુદ્ધિ કરવામાં સમર્થ થઈ શકે?
