जोवनपाठोपनिषद
परिग्रहस्य कुरिन परिमाणं यथोचितम् । यतस्तृष्णा नियन्त्र्येत पापारम्भप्रसारिणी
॥४०॥
તૃષ્ણનો વેગ જેમ વધે છે તેમ પાપારંભે વિસ્તરે છે. પરિગ્રહનું ઉચિત પરિમાણુ કરે, જેથી તૃષ્ણાને વધતે જતો વેગ કાબૂમાં આવી શકશે. ૪૦
Fix proper measure of worldly acquisitions (afp) so that the velocity or momentum of the ever-increasing desire launching into extensive sinful undertakings, may be brought under effective control. 40
प्रामाणिकोद्यमाद् द्रव्यं भवेञ्चेन्नियमाधिकम् । कु.रंस्तव्ययं शीघ्रं लोककल्याणकर्मणि
॥४१ ।।
પ્રામાણિક ઉદ્યમથી જે પરિગ્રહના નિયમથી વધુ ધન મળી જાય છે તે લોકકલ્યાણના કાર્યમાં સત્વર ખર્ચવું જોઈએ, ૪૧.
If perchance by honest industry you acquire wealth more than the measure you had decided upon for arquisition, spend it at once for the benefit of mankind. 41,
शान्तिस्तावबहुस्तृष्णा यावदल्पा परिग्रहे। आवश्यकत्वं संक्षिप्य तृष्णां संक्षिपत स्वकाम् ॥ ४२ ॥
પરિગ્રડ ઉપર જેટલા પ્રમાણમાં મૂર્છા ઓછી, તેટલા પ્રમાણમાં ચિત્તની શાન્તિ વધારે જરૂરીઆતને એ છી કરે એટલે તૃષ્ણા ઓછી થશે, ૪૨
