जीवनपाठोपनिषद Man's life is dependent on the help of others. If he is however unobliging and illiberal towards others or is Belf-centred, he is either impudent or foolish. 22.
परोपकार औदार्य चित्तार्द्रत्वं तथा दया । दानं सहृदयत्वं चानुकम्पेत्येकमेव हि
॥ २३ ॥
પરોપકાર, દાય, માનસિક આદ્રતા, દયા, દાન, સહૃદયતા. અનુકમ્યા से मधु मे ॥ छे. २३.
Benerolence, generosity, tenderness of mind, merey, charity, noble-heartedness and compassion are one and the same thing. 23
इदं जीवनकल्याणतत्वं यत्र न विद्यते । तत्र मानवता नास्ति गृहस्थे माधुनाम्नि वा
॥२४ ।।
જીવનનું આ કથાણુભૂત તત્વ જે માણસમાં નથી, તે ગૃહસ્થ હોય કે સાધુ કહેવાતું હોય તેનામાં માનવતા હજી જન્મી નથી એમ જ કહેવાવું જોઈએ. ૨૪,
The man who is devoid of this auspicious quality, whether he be a hormit or a worldly man, is not fit to be called human. 24
परोपकरणद्वारा स्वात्मोपक्रियते सता । प्राप्यते स्वात्मसन्तोषमनोज्ञानुभवः पुनः
॥ २५ ॥
સજજન પરોપકાર દ્વારા ખરી રીતે સ્વોપકારનું કાર્ય સાધે છે, અને આત્મસન્તોષનો મનેણ અનુભવ મેળવે છે. ૨૫.
