मोधनपाठोपनिषद्
[ ૨૧] Nothing will accompany the soul at the time of death nor do we know when it (the soul) will leave the tabernaole. 19
तस्माद् दधीध्वं हृदये शुभं शीघ्रमिति अतिम् ।। स्वयं कृतं सहागामीत्यपि स्मरत निश्चितम् ॥२०॥
માટે “શુભે શીઘમ ' એ વચનને હૃદયમાં ધારી રાખે. “હાથે તે સાથે’ અથત પિતે કરેલું હશે તે જ પિતાનું કર્મ જ) સાથે આવશે એ પણ સ્મૃતિપટ પર કોતરી રાખે ૨૦.
Therefore keep ever before your mind's eyes the expression “Do the good soon." Only one's own actions will accompany one's soul. Inscribe this on your memory. 20
अन्यसाहाय्यमाश्रित्य जनो जीवति जन्मतः । अन्तरेणाऽन्यसाहाय्यं जीवेनैकमपि क्षणम्
॥२१॥
માણસ જન્મે છે તે વખતથી જ અન્યની સહાયતા પર જીવે છે, બીજાની મદદ વગર એક ક્ષણ પણ તે છ પી શકતા નથી ૨૧.
Man is dependant on others since his birth; he cannot live without others' help even for a moment. 21
મનુષ્યsવરસાહાસમાવિતનાવના ! परत्र स्यात् कदर्यश्चेत् स शठो बालिशोऽथवा ॥ २२ ॥
માણસનું જીવન અન્યના સાડા પર અવલંબિત છે, છતાં માણસ પિતાના જ સ્વાર્થમાં રચ્યાપચ્યો રહી બીજા પ્રત્યે અનુદાર, કૃપણ રહે, તે એ યા તે શઠ છે યા મૂર્ખ છે. ૨૨.
