पाठोपनिषद्
Such tainted wealth cannot be enjoyed happily, does not allow us to live happily and gives birth to disturbing quarrels in the home and family. 5
मुष्णाति च मनःशान्ति चिन्तार्त्ता कुरुते स्थितिम् । अनर्थ - विपदः सूते संक्लिश्नाति च जीवितम्
॥ ६ ॥
વળી એ માનસિક શાન્તિને લૂટી લે છે, ચિત્તને ચિન્તાત્ત હાલતમાં રાખે છે, અનેકવિધ અનીને જન્માવે છે અને જીવતરને ખારું ઝેર બનાવી મૂકે છે. ૬.

Also it destroys mental peace, keeps mind engenders many evils or annoyances and embitters life. 6
विचरन्ति न्यायशीलाः सत्कर्मोनतमस्तकाः । अन्यायमलिनाचाराः प्रस्वलन्ति हतौजसः
ન્યાચશીલ સજ્જનાનાં મસ્તક પેાતાનાં સત્કર્માંના ખેલ પર ઊંચા રહે છેઉન્નત મસ્તકે તેએ વિચરે છે, જ્યારે દગાખાર કુકમી નાં મ્હાં પર નૂર રહેવા પામતું નથી, તેઓ એજ વગરના મની જાય છે અને ઠેરઠેર તેમને ઠેમાં ખાવાં पढे छे. ७.

The heads of just people remain high on the strength of their good deeds, they move about with their heads held high, while the perpetrators of fraud and deceit become spiritless, the lustre on their face fades and they are subjected to hatred. 7
aft निर्वहत स्तोकाद् रकं वा धत्त जीवितम् । नत्वन्याय्येन मार्गेण संचरध्वं महाशयाः !
