વ-મૂરિ
[ ૨] असौ सहस्रार्ध-सहस्रयुग्म - वर्षोर्वकालो बहुतितोऽभूत् । पाखण्ड-दम्मैश्च कुलाभिमान-मदैरनाचार-वधोपतापैः ॥ ३२ ।।
લગભગ અઢી હજાર વર્ષ ઉપરનો એ કાળ અનાચાર, દંભ, પાખંડ અને જાતિકુલાભિમાન-મોથી તથા હિંસા-ત્રાસથી બહુ દૂષિત હતો. (૩૨)
( 32 ) Some two thousand and five hundred years ago, the age was vitiated with wrong beliefs, hypocrisy, pride of birth, irreligious conduct and the distressing sight of animal-slaughter.
અશાતવાતાવરણags sવૃતમiદ્વારપાનહેતો ! अभ्यर्थितः कस्यचनावतार आसीत् तदानीं सुमहात्मशक्तेः ।। ३३ ।।
અશાન્ત વાતાવરણનાં અભ્રપટલથી ઘેરાયેલી પ્રજાના ઉદ્ધરણ માટે તે વખતે કોઈ સુમહાન આત્મશક્તિનું અવતરણ અભ્યર્થિત હતું. (૩૩)
( 33 ) It seemed as if the people were shrouded in thick clouds of a very diaturbed atmosphere; and, for the sake of their uplift, it was desired that some extraordinary persoa, possessing wonderful soul-force, should appear on earth.
धर्मान्ध- सत्तोन्मद-निर्दयत्वात्याचारवायुः प्रसरीसरीति । तदा तदातापशमाय शान्ति-पाठाय कोऽप्यम्युदियात् समर्थः ॥ ३४॥
ધર્માન્યતા, સન્માદ અને નિર્દયતા અત્યાચર-વાયુ જ્યારે ખૂબ ફેલાય છે ત્યારે તેના સન્તાપને શમાવવા અને શક્તિનો મન્નપાઠ ભણાવવા માટે કઈ સમર્થ આત્મા નીકળી આવે છે. (૩૮)
( 34 ) Whenever an atmosphere of bigotry, intoxioation of power and cruel oppression prevails, some great soul appears in the world in order to remove distress, and to teach lessons in the restoration and maintenance of peace,
