શૌ–fજરઃ
(6) The brave boy in His very childhood displayed remarkable fearlessness, throwing veide, like a rope, a snake of terrible appearance while playing with His friends.
क्रीडां सुहृद्भिः स पुनः करोति प्रत्यागतः सर्पभयात् पलाय्य । सञ्चारणं निर्भयता-गुणस्य प्रजासु बाल्यादुपदिश्यतेऽतः ॥ ७॥
અને ફરી, એ, સપને ભયથી નાશી જઈને પાછા ઉપસ્થિત થયેલા મિત્રો સાથે રમત રમવા લાગી જાય છે. આ ઉપરથી, બાળકમાં બચપણથી નિર્ભયતાના સંસ્કાર પાડવાનું સુચવાય છે. (૭)

तमष्टवर्ष पठनस्य हेतोरधीतिशालां पितरौ नयेते । माता च शत्रुर्जनकश्च वैरी न यो समध्यापयतः प्रजा स्वाम् ॥ ८॥
આઠ વર્ષની ઉમર થતાં વર્ધમાન કુમારને ભગાવવા માટે માતાપિતા વિદ્યાશાલામાં લઈ જાય છે. તે માતા શત્રુ અને તે પિતા વૈરી છે કે જેઓ પિતાની સત્તતિને એગ્ય વિદ્યાભ્યાસ કરાવતા નથી. (૮)
(8) When He attained the age of eight years, His parents took Him to school in order that He might study. Those parants who do not educate their children properly are indeed considered to be their enemies.
परं महोद्भासिमतेरीती नावश्यकस्तस्य परिश्रमः स्यात् । तथाविधाः खल्वनधीति-विज्ञाः प्राग्जन्मसंस्कारसमर्थशक्त्या ॥ ९ ॥
