ગીર-મૂરિ
विकल्पजालमावेश्य भीरुकीभूय तृष्णया । कुहनत्वप्रकृत्या च ज्वलत्यन्तर्जनः सदा
॥७॥
વિકલ્પનાં જાળાં પિતાની અન્દર ઘુસેથે રાખીને અને બહીકણ બનીને, તેમ જ તણાતુર અને ઈર્ષાલુ પ્રકૃતિને લીધે માણસ હમેશાં અંતઃકરણમાં બળતે રહે છે. છ

ચિત્તને સુધાર્યા વગર માણસ ગમે તેટલા પ્રચુર ધનથી પણ, ગમે તેટલાં અનુકૂલ સાધનેથી પણ સુખી થઈ શકતું નથી. ૮
(8) Without purgiag the mind of its impurities a man cannot attain to happiness in spite of affluencz and multiplicity of means.
दूरीकृत्य मनोदोषान् यन संस्क्रियते स्म तत् । सुखायते स नि:स्वोऽपि सहर्षश्रमकर्मणा
॥९॥
જેણે મન દેશે દૂર કરી એનું સંસ્કારિત્વ સાધ્યું છે, તે માણસ નિધન હાલતમાં પણ સુખી છે, સહર્ષ જાતમહેનત કરી સુખી રહે છે. ૯
