जीवन:दितम्
(IIJA person, of whatever country, Face, caste and creed he may be, is sure to be the recipient of welfare, if he is advancing on the path of above-mentioned Dharma,
प्रबोधनम्।
प्रज्ञप्ता लोकलाभाय चतुराश्रमपद्धतिः* । ब्रह्मचर्याश्रमस्तत्र जीवनाधार आदिमः
॥१२॥
લેકકલ્યાણ માટે ચાર આશ્રમની પદ્ધતિ બતાવવામાં આવી છે. તેમાં પ્રથમ બ્રહ્મચર્યાશ્રમ જે જીવનને આધાર છે. (૧૨)
Awakening to Progress (12) The system of the four orders (Ashramas) is propounded for the good of the people. The first among them is Brahma. charyashrama-the order of Brahmacharya (celibacy) which is the prop of life.
जीवनं नेतुमुच्चत्वं संस्कार्य प्रथमं वयः । तदानिहितसंस्कारा दृढमूला भवन्ति हि
॥ १३ ॥
જીવનને ઉચ્ચ બનાવવા માટે પહેલી ઉમ્મરને સંસ્કારિત બનાવવાની જરૂર છે, કેમકે તે વયમાં સ્થપાયેલા સંસ્કારે ઢ-મૂલ બને છે. (૧૩)
(13) To elevate life the first age must be cultured, as the impressions of culture then imparted, become firm and deep-rooted.
ब्रह्मचारी गृहस्थध वानप्रस्थोऽथ भिक्षुकः । इत्याश्रमास्तु जैनानामुत्तरोत्तरशुद्धितः ॥
