जीवन-हितम्
इत्थं धर्ममुपासीना मतान्तरगता अपि । न सन्तः कलहायन्ते धर्मभेदनिबन्धनम्
આ રીતે ધમને ઉપાસનાર સજજને ગમે તે સમ્પ્રદાયના અનુયાયી હેવા છતાં, સમ્પ્રદાયભેદ અથવા ધર્મભેદના કારણે કલહ કરતા નથી, અન્ય સમ્પ્રદાયવાળા સાથે વિરોધવૃત્તિ રાખતા નથી. (૬)
(6) The wise who devoutly follow this aspect of religion, even though they are followers of diverse creeds, never quarrel over sectarian differences.
ऐकरूप्यं न सर्वत्र कर्मकांडेषु सम्भवि । लमन्ते तद्विमेदेऽपि श्रेयः प्रशमवृत्तयः
॥७॥
કર્મકાંડ (ધાર્મિક ક્રિયાકાંડ) બધે ભિન્ન ભિન્ન જ હોય, એકરૂપ હોઈ શકે જ નહિ. જેઓ શમભાવના સાધનમાં પ્રયતમાન છે, તેઓને તેમના કલ્યાણસાધનમાં તેમને ક્રિયાભેર આડે આવતો નથી. બલકે તેમની ભિન્ન રીતની પણ ભાવભીની શુભ ક્રિયા તેમના ઉદ્દેશ્યને–કલ્યાણસાધન વ્યાપારને પિષક બની રહે છે. (૭)
(7) It is not possible to have uniformity of ritualistic observances in all systems of religion. (They are bound to vary in different systems, nay, even in the different branches of the same system.) Tbe wise devoted to the subjugation of passions, obtain the spiritual welfare in spite of the performance of different rituals.
सद्विचार-सदाचारौ धर्मः सत्यः सनातनः । सर्व यद्वयतिरेकेण साधनं स्यादसाधनम्
॥८॥
સત્ય–સનાતન ધર્મ સવિચાર અને સદાચરણ છે. એ ખરું તત્વ જે વિદ્યમાન ન હોય તે સાધનવિધિ સાધનભૂત ન રહે, સાધનનું સાધનબલ લુપ્ત થઈ જાય, સાધન બાધનરૂપ બની જાય. (૮)
