महात्म-विभूति:
fruit) of right knowledge and right Darshana. Right conduct is the living principle or essential requisite of life. The holiness of the five superior beings (Parameshthins) depends upon their Charitra.
शास्त्रज्ञाः पटुक्क्कारो बलवन्तोऽधिकारिणः । निष्प्रभा मान्ति सर्वेऽपि पुरवास्त्रितेजसः । ॥ १०१ ॥
શાવિશારદ, પ્રખર વ્યાખ્યાતાઓ, અલવાના અને અધિકારીએ મષા ચારિત્રના તેજ આગળ ફિક્કા પડી જાય છે. (૧૦૧ )
( 101 ) Persons learned in sciences, great elocutionists, mighty personages and great officers pale into insignificance before the brilliance of right conduct.
निपत्य वन्दते सम्राट् परिवाद-पदपद्मयोः । निर्धनोऽप्यतिशेते सन् महात्मा चक्रवर्त्तिनम् ॥ १०२ ॥
સમ્રાટ્ પરિત્રાનાં ચરણેામાં પડી વધે છે. નિધન પશુ ચારિત્રસમ્પન્ન મહાત્મા ચક્રવર્તી કરતાં મહાન છે. (૧૦૨ )
(102) Even sovereigns bow down at the lotus-like feet of an ascetic. A high-souled person having right conduct ( चारित्र ), even though non-possessed of riches, is greater than or superior to an emperor.
यस्मिन्नभ्यस्यते तीव्रावधानैर्वीतराग । तच्चारित्रं महद्भूतं विश्वविश्वेशवन्दितम्
॥ १०३ ॥
વીતરાગતાના અસ્ખલિત અભ્યાસ એ વિશ્વવન્ધ મહા ચારિત્ર છે. (૧૦૩)
