होती है, उसमें 'मरुत' का उल्लेख नही है। स्थानाङ्ग आदि सूत्रों में नौ भेद मिलते है । उत्तमचरित्र में तो दस भेदों का भी उल्लेख मिलता है । इससे ज्ञात होता है कि मूल सूत्र में 'मरुतो' पाठ बाद मे प्रक्षिप्त हुआ है । २५-२६ ।
अनुत्तर विमानों के देवो की विशेषता
विजयादिषु द्विचरमाः। २७ । विजयादि के देव द्विचरम होते है अर्थात् दो बार मनुष्यजन्म धारण कर मोक्ष प्राप्त करते हैं ।
अनुत्तर विमान पाँच है । उनमे से विजय, वैजयन्त, जयन्त और अपराजित इन चार विमानों के देव द्विचरम होते है । वे अधिक-से-अधिक दो बार मनुष्यजन्म धारण करके मोक्ष प्राप्त कर लेते है । इसका क्रम इस प्रकार है कि चार अनुत्तर विमानों से च्युत होने के बाद मनुष्यजन्म, उसके बाद अनुत्तर विमान मे देवजन्म, वहाँ से फिर मनुष्यजन्म और उसी जन्म से मोक्ष । परन्तु सर्वार्थसिद्ध विमानवासी देव च्युत होने के बाद केवल एक बार मनुष्यजन्म धारण करके उसी जन्म से मोक्ष प्राप्त करते है। अनुत्तर विमानवासी देवों के अतिरिक्त अन्य सब देवों के लिए कोई नियम नहीं है, क्योकि कोई तो एक ही गर मनुष्यजन्म लेकर मोक्ष जाते है, कोई दो बार तीन बार, चार बार या और भी अधिक बार मनुष्यजन्म धारण करते है । २७ ।
तिर्यचो का स्वरूप __ औपपातिकमनुष्येभ्यः शेषास्तिर्यग्योनयः । २८ । औपपातिक और मनुष्य से जो शेष हैं वे तिर्यच योनिवाले हैं।
'तिर्यच कौन है ?' इस प्रश्न का उत्तर इस सूत्र में वर्णित है । औपपातिक ( देव तथा नारक ) तथा मनुष्य को छोडकर शेष सभी संसारी जीव तिर्यच है । देव, नारक और मनुष्य केवल पञ्चेन्द्रिय होते है, पर तिर्यंच मे एकेंद्रिय से पचेद्रिय तक सब जीव आ जाते है । देव, नारक और मनुष्य लोक के विशेष भागों मे ही होते है, तिर्यञ्च नहीं, क्योकि उनका स्थान लोक के सब भागों में है । २८ ।
