दें तो भी कारिकाएं २२ और ३१ इतनी स्पष्ट हैं कि जिनके उमास्वातिकर्तृक सूत्रसंग्रह या उमास्वातिकर्तृक मोक्षमार्ग शास्त्ररूप अर्थ में सन्देह को लेशमात्र अवकाश नहीं रहता।।
प० कैलाशचन्द्रजी ने अपने हिन्दी अर्थसहित तत्त्वार्थसूत्र की प्रस्तावना में तत्त्वार्थभाष्य की उमास्वातिकतकता तथा भाष्य के समय के बारे में जो विचार व्यक्त किए हैं उन्हे ध्यानपूर्वक देखने के बाद कोई तटस्थ इतिहासज्ञ उनको प्रमाणभूत नहीं मान सकता । पंडितजी को जहाँ कहीं भाष्य की स्वोपज्ञता या राजवातिक आदि मे भाष्य के उल्लेख की संभावना दीख पड़ी वहाँ उन्होने प्रायः सर्वत्र निराधार कल्पना के बल पर अन्य वृत्ति को मानकर उपस्थित ग्रन्थ को अर्वाचीन बतलाने का प्रयत्न किया है। इस विषय में पं० फूलचन्द्रजी आदि अन्य पंडित भी एक ही मार्ग के अनुगामी है।।
हिन्दी का पहला सस्करण समाप्त हो जाने पर इसकी निरन्तर बढती हुई मांग को देखकर जैन संस्कृति सशोधन मंडल, बनारस के मत्रो और मेरे मित्र पं० दलसुख मालवणिया दूसरा संस्करण प्रकाशित करने का विचार कर रहे थे । इसी बीच सहृदय श्री रिषभदासजी राका का उनसे परिचय हुआ। श्री रांकाजी ने यह सस्करण प्रकाशित करने का और यथासंभव कम मूल्य में सुलभ कराने का अपना विचार व्यक्त किया और उसका प्रबंध भी किया, एतदर्थ मै उनका कृतज्ञ हूँ।
इस हिन्दी तत्त्वार्थ के ही नही अपितु अपनी लिखो हई किसी भी गुजराती या हिन्दी पुस्तक-पुस्तिका या लेख के पुनः प्रकाशन में सीधे भाग लेने की मेरा रुचि बहुत समय से नहीं रही है । मैने यही सोच रखा है कि अभी तक जो कुछ सोचा और लिखा गया है वह यदि किसी भी दृष्ट से किसी संस्था या किन्हीं व्यक्तियों को उपयोगी जंचेगा तो वे उसके लिए जो कुछ करना होगा, करेगे। मै अब अपने लेख आदि मे क्यों उलझा रहूँ ? इस विचार के बाद मेरा जो जीवन या जो शक्ति अवशिष्ट है उसे मै आवश्यक नए चिन्तन आदि में लगाता रहा हूँ। ऐसी स्थिति मे हिन्दी तत्त्वार्थ के दूसरे संस्करण के प्रकाशन में विशेष रुचि लेना मेरे लिए संभव नहीं था । यदि यह भार मुझ पर ही रहता तो दूसरा संस्करण निकल ही न पाता। एतद्विषयक सारा दायित्व अपनी इच्छा और उत्साह से पं० श्री मालवणिया ने अपने ऊपर ले लिया और उसे अन्त तक भलीभांति निभाया भी। द्वितीय सस्करण के प्रकाशन के लिए
