First Chapter
Right Faith, Knowledge, and Conduct are the Path to Liberation.
The belief in the nature of the essence is Right Faith.
It arises from the inherent nature or understanding.
The truth about the soul and non-soul, bondage, restraint, liberation is as follows.
From the naming, the distinction of substance arises.
Access is through valid means.
According to the directive control, the position is determined by the practices governing ownership.
There are conditions based on the number of entities, the realm, the perception, the time of existence, and their fewness and multiplicity.
The knowledge is only that which is understood through cognition, perception, memory, recognition, contemplation, and realization.
This is based on valid proof.
What is beyond perception.
Direct perception of the other.
Cognition, memory, consciousness, and thought are all different aspects.
There is the distinction arising from the senses and non-senses.
The acquisition of knowledge is through comprehensive understanding.
Many various kinds through specific sources lead to doubtful permanency.
