Elaboration-In aphorism 51 of this book ten synonyms of sutra (scripture) have been listed; first two in this list being suya and sutta. The Sanskrit transcription of suya is shrut and that of sutta is sutra. Besides scripture and aphorism, sutra also means yarn or fiber. In view of the usefulness of a broader range of meanings in mental development the five kinds of been included here.

अंडयं हंसगभादि । से तं अंडयं ।
४१. (प्रश्न) अंडज किसे कहते हैं ?
(उत्तर) हंसगर्भादि से बने सूत्र को अंडज कहा जाता है।
41. (Question ) What is andayam or andaj (of egg origin)?
(Answer) Yarn made of fiber produced by hamsagarbh (cocoon) is called andaj.
४२. से किं तं बोंडयं ?
aisi फहिमादि से तं बोंडयं ।
४२. (प्रश्न) बोंडज किसे कहते हैं ?
(उत्तर) बोंडज - कपास या रुई ( अथवा अन्य वनस्पति के फल ) से बनाये गये सूत्र को बोंडज कहा जाता है।
42 (Question ) What is bondayam or bondaj (of fruit origin) ?
(Answer) Yarn made of fiber produced by fruit of the cotton plant (and other plants) is called bondaj.
४३. से किं तं कीडयं ?
कीडयं पंचविहं पण्णत्तं । तं जहा - (१) पट्टे, (२) मलए, (३) अंसुए, (४) चीणंसुए, (५) किमिरागे । सेतं कीडयं ।
