हंता पएसी ! हत्तीओ कुंथू अप्पकम्मतराए चेव कुंथुओ वा हत्थी महाकम्मतराए चेव तं चेव।
कम्हा णं भंते ! हथिस्स य कुंथुस्स य समे चेव जीवे ? २६५. (क) इसके पश्चात् प्रदेशी राजा ने प्रश्न किया“भते ! क्या हाथी और कुथु का जीव एक समान है ?''
केशीकुमार श्रमण–“हॉ, प्रदेशी ! हाथी और कुंथु का जीव एक समान है, दोनो के आत्म-प्रदेश समान परिमाण वाले है, न्यूनाधिक प्रदेश परिमाण वाले नहीं हैं।" ___ प्रदेशी-“भदन्त । क्या हाथी से कुथु अल्प कर्म (आयुष्य) वाला है, अल्प क्रिया और * अल्प आस्रव वाला है ? और इसी प्रकार कुंथु का आहार, निहार, श्वासोच्छ्वास, शारीरिक * बल, द्युति आदि भी अल्प है और कुंथु से हाथी अधिक कर्म वाला, अधिक क्रिया वाला - यावत् अधिक धुति-सम्पन्न है?'
केशीकुमार श्रमण-"हाँ प्रदेशी ! ऐसा ही है-हाथी से कुथु अल्प आयुष्य कर्म वाला, * अल्प क्रिया वाला और कुंथु से हाथी महाकर्म वाला है।' __ प्रदेशी-“तो फिर भदन्त ! हाथी और कुथु का जीव समान परिमाण वाला कैसे हो सकता है ?" ARE THE SOULS OF ELEPHANT AND KUNTHU (THREE-SENSED BEING) SIMILAR?
265. (a) Thereafter king Pradeshi asked___ “Are the souls of elephant and Kunthu-three-sensed animals similar to each other.”
Keshi Kumar Shraman replied—“Yes, Pradeshi ! The souls of elephant and Kunthu are similar, the souls-atoms (pradesh) of both the souls are equal-neither more nor less."
Pradeshi asked—“Sir ! Are the karmas of Kunthu less than elephant ? Are the activities and inflow of karmic matter in case of Kunthu are less than that of an elephant ? Is the first intake, the waste, the breathing, physical strength and brightness are also less of Kunthu than elephant ?" ___Keshi Kumar Shraman said “Yes, Pradeshi ! It is so.
