नामकर्म के उदय से प्राप्त शरीर इन्द्रियो से दिखाई नही देता, वह ज्ञान द्वारा ही जाना जाता है, तथा
बादर नामकर्म के उदय से शरीर मे ऐसा स्थूल परिणाम उत्पन्न होता है कि जिससे वे इन्द्रियग्राह्य हो * सकते है। सूक्ष्म और बादर नामकर्म का उदय तिर्यच गति के जीवो मे होता है और वायुकायिक जीव
एकेन्द्रिय तिर्यच गति वाले होते है। उनके एक स्पर्शनेन्द्रिय, कृष्ण, नील, कापोत, लेश्या, नपुसकवेद और * औदारिक, वैक्रिय, तैजस्, कार्मण शरीर होते है। * दस सूक्ष्म अज्ञेय वस्तुओ मे शब्द, गध और वायु भी है। आज का विज्ञान अत्यन्त सूक्ष्म उपकरणो
व यत्रो के सहारे शब्द, गध व वायु की तरगो व प्रकम्पनो का विश्लेषण तो करता है, परन्तु अपनी भौतिक आँखो से देखने का उदाहरण अब तक सुना नही है।
Elaboration—In this aphorism, by the illustration air-bodied Jiva (soul), the structure of mundane souls has been described. All the worldly (mundane) souls are of two types-gross and subtle. AJiva which had
collected subtle name-karma (is born as subtle Jiva and as such) cannot to be seen by the senses. That Jiva can be known only through Jnan (perfect
knowledge). A Jiva that had collected gross name-karma is born with
such a body that can be seen by senses. Gross and subtle name-karma * fruitify only in Tiryanch (sub-human) state of Jiva (souls). The air-bodied
souls are, one-sensed Jiva having Tiryanch (sub-human) state of existence They have only one sense--the sense of touch. They have Krishan (black), Neel (blue) or Kapot (grey) thought colours (Leshya), they have Napunsakved (sex inclination for both male and female). They have gross, fluid, taijas (electric) and karmic body. ____The ten subtle substances that can be known (with sense-organs) include sound, smell and air. With the help of extremely subtle (fine) instruments, modern science analyses the awareness of sound, smell (fragrance) and air and fire movements in them. But so far, no example has come to our notice that it could be seen with naked eyes क्या हाथी और कुंथु का जीव समान है ?
२६५. (क) तए णं से पएसी राया केसि कुमारसमणं एवं वयासीसे नूणं भंते ! हथिस्स कुंथुस्स य समे चेव जीवे ? हंता पएसी ! हथिस्स य कुंथुस्स य समे चेव जीवे।
से णूणं भंते ! हत्थीउ कुंथू अप्पकम्मतराए चेव अप्पकिरियतराए चेव अप्पासवतराए चेव एवं आहार-नीहार-उस्सास-नीसास-इडीए महज्जुइ अप्पतराए चेव, एवं च कुंथुओ हत्ती महाकम्मतराए चेव महाकिरिय. जाव ? ।
