198. (a) Thereafter in the company of four thousand Saamanik
gods upto many other gods and goddesses. Suryabh god arrived at Xe the eternal temple (Siddhayatan) with his entire splendour in the
pleasant music of such musical instruments. He entered through at the gate in the east, came to the place where there was special seat
for him and the idols of Tirthankars. Immediately when he saw the idols, he bowed to them, held the mop of peacock-hair in his hands
and cleaned the idols with it. Then he washed the idols with ** fragrant gandhodak (scented water). He then put fresh go-sheersh * sandal paste on the idols. He, then wiped the idols with scented
saffron-coloured cloth. He then dressed them in a pair of new divine dress. Thereafter, he offered flowers, garlands, scented powder and ornaments to the idols. Then he put long round garlands on the idols. Thereafter he sprinkled flowers of five colours on them. He then decorated that place with circular sketches. He then drew
pictures of eight auspicious symbols namely Swastik upto mirror a with pure, shining, white unbroken rice grains in front of the idols.
(ख) तयाणंतरं च णं चंदप्पभवइरवेरुलियविमलदंडं कंचणमणिरयणभत्तिचित्तं कालागुरुपवरकुंदरुक्क-तुरुक्क-धूव-मघमघंतगंधुत्तमाणुविद्धं च धूववट्टि विणिम्मुयंतं वेरुलियमयं कडुच्छुयं पग्गहिय पयत्तेणं धूवं दाऊण जिणवराणं अट्ठसयविसुद्धगंथजुत्तेहिं अत्थजुत्तेहिं अपुणरुत्तेहिं महावित्तेहिं संथुणइ, संथुणित्ता सत्तट्ठ पयाई पच्चोसक्कइ, पच्चोसक्कित्ता वामं जाणुं अंचेइ अंचित्ता दाहिणं जाणुं धरणितलंसि निहटु तिक्खुत्तो मुद्धाणं धरणितलंसि निवाडेइ निवाडित्ता ईसिं पच्चुण्णमइ, पच्चुण्णमित्ता करयलपरिग्गहियं
सिरसावत्तं मत्थए अंजलिं कटु एवं वयासी" (ख) तदनन्तर उन जिन-प्रतिमाओं के सन्मुख श्रेष्ठ कृष्ण अगर, कुन्दरुष्क, तुरुष्क और
धूप की सुगन्ध से व्याप्त और धूपबत्ती के समान सुरभिगन्ध को फैलाने वाले धूपदान को लेकर धूप-क्षेप किया। वह धूपदान चन्द्रकान्त मणि, वज्र रत्न और वैडूर्य मणि की दंडी तथा स्वर्ण-मणि-रत्नो से रचित चित्र-विचित्र आलेखनों से युक्त था। उसके पश्चात् महिमाशाली एक सौ आठ छन्दों में स्तुति की, जो शास्त्रानुकूल भावयुक्त अर्थसम्पन्न रायपसेणियसूत्र
