अर्थ- संघ निर्मल चन्द्रमा के समान है। यह संघचन्द्र तप एवं संयमरूपी मृग के लांछन (चिह्न) से युक्त है । अक्रियावादी ( मिथ्यात्वी) रूप राहु इसको कभी ग्रस नहीं सकते। निर्मल सम्यक्त्वरूपी चाँदनी से जिसकी शोभा बढ़ रही है ऐसा संघचन्द्र सदा सबके लिए जयकारी हो।

PANEGYRIC OF THE SANGH-SUN
अर्थ- संघ सूर्य के समान है। संघरूपी सूर्य ने पर - तीर्थ (एकान्त मिथ्यावादी) रूप ग्रह तारों को प्रभाहीन कर दिया है। यह तपरूप प्रखर तेज से सदा देदीप्यमान है | सम्यग्ज्ञान का प्रकाश फैलाकर जगत् का अंधकार दूर कर रहा है। ऐसा इन्द्रिय- दमन व उपशमभाव रूप संघसूर्य सदा कल्याणकारी हो ।

१० : परतित्थिय-गहपहनासगस्स, तवतेय-दित्तलेसप्स। नाणुज्जोयस्स जए, भद्दं दमसंघ-सूरस्स ॥
The sangh is like the sun. The sun-like sangh has dimmed the twinkling of stars and planets that are the groups of dogmatic followers of falsehood. It is ever brilliant with the radiant fire of austerity. It is removing the darkness of the world by spreading the light of right knowledge. May this sangh-sun, which is the embodiment of discipline of senses and control of desires, ameliorate all.
