के अनेक मार्ग) हों, वहाँ प्रज्ञावान साधु को आना-जाना नहीं चाहिए और ऐसा उपाश्रय वाचनादि के लिए भी उपयुक्त नहीं है। ऐसे उपाश्रय में साधु को नहीं ठहरना चाहिए।
112. A bhikshu or bhikshuni should find if the available upashraya is accessible only through the residence of the householder or is connected with such residence (or has many entrances). If it is so, it is not proper for a wise ascetic to enter and leave that house. Such house is unsuitable for his discourse (etc.). An ascetic should not stay in such upashraya.
११३. से भिक्खू वा २ से जं पुण उवस्सयं जाणेज्जा इह खलु गाहावइ वा जाव कम्मकरीओ वा अण्णमण्णं अक्कोसंति वा जाव उद्दवेंति वा, णो पण्णस्स जाव चिंताए। से एवं णच्चा तहप्पगारे उवस्सए णो ठाणं वा ३ चेइज्जा।
११३. साधु-साध्वी यदि ऐसा उपाश्रय जाने जहाँ गृह-स्वामी, उसकी पत्नी यावत् दास-दासियाँ आदि परस्पर एक-दूसरे को कोसती हों-झिड़कती हों, मारती-पीटती यावत् उपद्रव करती हों प्रज्ञावान साधु इस प्रकार के उपाश्रय में निर्गमन-प्रवेश तथा वाचनादि नहीं करे।
113. A bhikshu or bhikshuni should find if the owner, his wife, servants etc. of the available upashraya (habitually) abuse or beat each other or create disturbance. If it is so, it is not proper
for a wise ascetic to enter and leave that house. Such house is renkunsuitable for his discourse (etc.) as well.
११४. से भिक्खू वा से जं पुण उवस्सयं जाणेज्जा इह खलु गाहावइ वा जाव कम्मकरीओ वा अण्णमण्णस्स गायं तेल्लेण वा घएण वा णवणीएण वा वसाए वा अब्भंगे ति वा मक्खे ति वा, णो पण्णस्स जाव चिंताए, तहप्पगारे उवस्सए णो ठाणं वा ३ चेइज्जा ।
११४. साधु-साध्वी ऐसा उपाश्रय जाने, जहाँ गृहस्थ यावत् उसकी नौकरानियाँ एक-दूसरे के शरीर पर तेल, घी, नवनीत या वसा से मर्दन करती हों, चुपड़ती हों, तो प्रज्ञावान साधु का वहाँ जाना-आना एवं वाचनादि करना उचित नहीं है।
