for the sake of carnal pleasures). Killing or tormenting others for trading, agriculture and other business activities is artharthak himsa (violence for the sake of wealth). Killing or tormenting others in name of religion is dharmarthak himsa (violence for the sake of religion). These three types of violence are called 'with purpose' and others without any purpose'.
Guru se kama-Explaining this it is said that mundane or carnal pleasures are difficult to renounce. Therefore, such desires are called guru (heavy or enormous).
Jao se marassa anto... -A pleasure seeking man cannot rid himself of carnal desires. Thus he is within the grip of death. As a result he is always haunted by things like birth, aging, death, disease, grief, etc. and, therefore, he is far removed from happiness.
१४९. से पासइ फुसियमिव कुसग्गे पणुन्नं णिवइयं वाएरियं। एवं बालस्स जीवियं मंदस्स अवियाणओ। कूराई कम्माइं बाले पकुव्वमाणे तेण दुक्खेण मूढे विप्परियासमुवेइ। मोहेण गब्भं मरणाइ एइ। एत्थ मोहे पुणो पुणो।
१४९. (जिसने कामना का त्याग कर दिया है) वह पुरुष कुश के अग्र भाग पर टिके हुए और वायु के झोंके से कम्पित होकर गिरते हुए जल-बिन्दु की तरह जीवन को अस्थिर जानता-देखता है।
बाल-(अज्ञानी), मन्द-(अल्प बुद्धि) और धर्म से अनभिज्ञ पुरुष का जीवन भी इसी तरह अस्थिर है, परन्तु वह (मोहवश) इसको नहीं जान पाता।
वह बाल अपने अज्ञान के कारण या हिंसादि क्रूर कर्म करने के कारण दुःख को उत्पन्न करता है (-तथा) दुःख से मूढ़-उद्विग्न होकर वह सुख के स्थान पर दुःख को प्राप्त होता है।
प्राणी मोह के वश हुआ कर्मबन्धन करता है, फलस्वरूप बार-बार जन्म-मरण करता है। मिथ्यात्वादि के कारण उसे बारम्बार मोह उत्पन्न होता है।
149. He (who has rid himself of desires) perceives and knows that life is as ephemeral as a drop of water falling from the tip of a grass-leaf shaken by a whiff of wind. आचारांग सूत्र
