Explanation Seekers of self-experience can be classified into three broad categories: (1) Theorists, who have the right scriptural knowledge about the 'self', the 'nature of self' and the right path to liberation, but are unable to put their knowledge into action due to spiritual lethargy. (2) Ritualists are those who zealously undertake the performance of various rites and rituals but are totally unaware of the 'self'. (3) Those rare few, who seek 'self-realization' by the synchronization of right conduct and right knowledge.
