वाणुंजुअवाणिजक noted in Desināmamala and PSM मल हणउ=लीलायमान playful& merrymaking वलिवंडउ is quite common in Apabhramsa-meaning बलात्. वक्कर - Desinamamala, 6,89 बक्कर == परिहास. मछुड is common in Apabhramsa and is used to introduce an unpleasant possibility.
With all this, the interrelationship of the statements and consequently the purport remains unclear.
The Apabhramsa verse cited on p. 442 as an illustration of a type of the Prativastukti variety of Samya is as follows:
एक्कोणमिअ अभङ्गे विमलकबोले वअणम्मि तुइ मिअच्छि तिरिञ्छ णअणे । एहु ससिबिम्बउ कलङ्गगारउ पण्डरउ खित्तउ उप्परेण भमाइअ णिमञ्छण-खप्परउ ॥
Tentatively this may be restored as under :
एक्कुण्णमिअ-भुभंगे विमल-कवोले वअणे तुह मच्छि ...... तिरिच्छ-णअणे । एहु ससिबिबउ कलंक-गारउ पंडरउ खित्तउ उप्परे भमइ णिमंछण-खप्परउ ॥
Sanskrit chaya :
एकोनमित-भूभङ्गे विमल-कपोले वदने तव मृगाक्षि......तिर्यग्नयने । एतच्छशिबिम्बं कलङ्कागारं पाण्डुरं क्षिप्तमुपरि म्रमति नि---ण-कर्परम् ॥
The metre seems to be Rāsāvalaya (21 Mātrās per line with the last five Mātrās having the - VVV). But the first line violates the characteristic rhythm of the Rāsāvalaya. The second line seems to be defective. The idea is that as compared to the beautiful face of the girl, the moon is just like a black potsherd thrown in the air after thə evil warding-off
rite.
: The Apabhraísa citation on p. 730 given as an illustration of Arthāntaranyāsa mixed with Slesa is as follows :
दट्ठोढ हो असिलअघाओ देवि मउलावइ लोअणमउहो वे। सुपओहर कुवलअपत्तलच्छि कह मोह ण जणइ ण लग्गवच्छि ॥
