Prakrit Verses In Alamkarasarvasva (With the commentary Vimar sini of Jayaratha)
Ruyyaka composed his Alamkārasarvasva', a standard work on figures of speech, sometime between 1135-1150 A. D. Jayaratha wrote his learned commentary Vimar sini on it sometime in the first quarter of the 13th century. Ruyyaka and Jayaratha cite 16 and 40 Prakrit verses as examples respectively :

Kim bhanimo bhannai kitti (?)......
(p. 4). कि भणिमो भण्णइ कित्ति (? कित्तिअ) अह किं वा इमेण भणिएण। भणिहिसि तह वि अहवा भणामि किं वा ण भणिओ सि ॥ (किं भणामो भण्यते कियदथ किंवानेन भणितेन। भणिष्यसे तथापि अथवा भणामि किं वा न भणितोऽसि ॥)

2)* Thinam (? Inhim) pahuno pahuno......
इण्हि पहुणो पहुणो पहुत्तणं किं चिरंतण-पहूण। गुणदोसा दोसगुणा एहिँ कआ ण हु कआ तेहिं ॥ (इदानीं प्रभवः प्रभवः प्रभुत्वं किं चिरन्तन-प्रभूणाम्।। गुणदोषा दोषगुणा एभिः कृता न खलु कृतास्तैः॥)
Note : This gatha is cited in Gaharayanakosa (no. 141). Jayaratha's comments, however, show that there is no need to amend the text ehim' to jehim', as done by the editors of the Gaharayanakosa.

3). Pauabamdham padhium......
पाउअ बंधं पढिउं बंधे तह अ कुज्ज-कुसुमाइं। पोढमहिलं च रमिउं विरल चिअ के वि जाणंति ॥ (प्राकृत-बन्धं पठितुं बद्ध तथा च कुब्ज-कुसुमानि । प्रौढ-महिलां च रन्तुं विरला एव केऽपि जानन्ति ॥)
Gahārayanakosa quotes a gathā with identical meaning but with some variants. Vide v. no. 21 (under Kavyaprasamsā).
