Prakrit Verses in Sanskrit Works on Poetics
The gātha and its Sanskrit cchāyā, as presented in our edition, are wrong and misleading. The gātha as presented in Hemacandra's Kavyānuśāsana (p. 54) or in Weber's Sapta-śataka ( No. 877) is perfectly all right and yields good sense.

10) Taim ccia vaanam......
तं चिअ वअणं ते च्चेअ लोअणे जोन्वणं पि तं च्चेअ । अण्णा अणंगलच्छी अण्णं चिअ किंपि साहेइ ॥ (तदेव वचनं | वदनं ते एव लोचने यौवनमपि तदेव । अन्यानङगलक्ष्मीरन्यदेव किमपि कथयति ॥)

11) Jam kimpi pecchamānam.........
जं कि पि पेच्छमाणं भणमाणं रे जहा तह च्चे। णिज्झाअ णेहमुद्धं वअस्स मुद्धं णिअच्छहि ॥ (यत् किमपि प्रेक्षमाणां भणन्ती रे यथा तथैव । निाय स्नेहमुग्धां वयस्य मुग्धां पश्य ॥ )

The Adyar edition reads the second half of this gātha differently :
णिअसुआणेहमुद्ध वअस्स मुद्धं णिअच्छेहि ॥ (निजसुतास्नेहमुग्ध वयस्य मुग्धां नियच्छ (?) ॥)
But the earlier part of the second half, as presented in the Adyar edition, is metrically defective. The Sanskrit rendering (niyaccha) too is misleading. The Prakrit root 'niaccha' is one of the 15 adeśas of drsa as recorded by Hemacandra in his Prakrit Grammar (4.181).

तह झत्ति से पअत्ता सव्वंगं विन्भमा थणुब्भेए । संसइअ-बालभावा होइ चिरं जह सहीणं पि ॥ (तथा झटिति तस्याः प्रवृत्ताः सर्वाङ्गं विम्रमाः स्तनोद्भेदे । संशयितबालभावा भवति चिरं यथा सखीनामपि ॥)
