જિજ્ઞાસુ શિવે ફરીને પ્રશ્ન પૂછયે. प्र. वंदणएणं मंते जीवे किं जणयइ ? उ. वंदणएणं नीयागोयं कम्म खवेइ उच्चागोयं कम्मं निबंधई ।
सोएग्गं च णं अपडिएयं आणाफलं निव्वत्तेइ। दाहिण
भावं च णं जणयइ। उत्त. २९-१० Oh Lord ! 'what does one benefit by Vandana ? હે ભગવન્! વંદના કરવાથી જીવને શું લાભ થાય?
Lord Mahavir replies-"By vandana, the soul destroys such Karma which leads to birth in low families and acquires such Karma which leads to birth in noble families. He wins the affection of people, which resuIts in his being looked upon as an authority and he brings about general good-will."
ભગવાન મહાવીર જવાબ આપે છે; વંદના કરવાથી નીચ ગોત્રમાં જન્મ આપનાર કમને ક્ષય થાય છે. ઉરચ ગોત્રમાં જન્મ થાય તેવાં કર્મ બંધાય છે. સૌભાગ્યને પ્રાપ્ત કરી આજ્ઞાનું સફળ સામર્થ્ય પામે છે તથા દાક્ષિણ્ય ભાવ (વિશ્વપ્રેમ) ને પામે છે અને સર્વ લોકની શુભેચ્છા મેળવી શકે છે.
4. Pratikraman-પ્રતિક્રમણ
Pratikraman means to be liberated from the sins already committed and be careful that these and similar sins ars not repeated in future. This is the chief aim of Pratikraman. This in itself keeps our mind, speech and body in purest state.
પ્રતિક્રમણ એટલે પૂર્વના પાપથી પાછા ફરવું અને તેવા પાપકર્મો ફરીને ન બંધાય તેના માટે હંમેશા સાવધાન રહેવું. આ
