सलिल = जल आदि आदि, भय भय विनाशी = नष्ट करने वाला है, शान्ति = शांति, आदि = आदि कः = करने वाला है, च = और भक्तिमताम् = भक्ति करने वालों के लिये १७. यश्चैनं पठति सदा शृणोति भावयति वा यथा योगम् = और जो इसको सदा [प्रति दिन ] यथा योग्य पढ़ता है, सुनता है या भावना / श्रद्धा करता है

16.iti pūrva-suri-darśita-mantra-pada-vidarbhitah stavah śānteh = in this way, śānti stava composed with the phrases of hymns revealed by ancestral ācāryas
iti = in this way, pūrva = ancestral sūri = by ācāryas, darśita = revealed, mantra = of hymns, pada = with the phrases, vidarbhitah = composed stavah = stava, śānteh = śānti salilādi-bhaya-vināsi śāntyādi-karaśca bhaktimatām = is the destroyer of fears like water/ floods and is the maker of peace etc. to the performer of devotion
