१. नवकार महामंत्र
| देव :- यहाँ पर देव शब्द दो अर्थों में प्रयुक्त हुआ है
१. देवलोक के देव - जहाँ जीव पुण्यवश सीमित समय के लिए उत्पन्न होता है.
२. कर्म क्षय के कारण आत्म स्वरूप को प्राप्त अरिहंत और सिद्ध भगवंत, जो मोक्ष मार्ग में आराध्य देव हैं.
सूत्र परिचय :
इस सूत्र से अरिहंत, सिद्ध, आचार्य, उपाध्याय और साधु- इन पंच |[पांच] परमेष्ठियों को नमस्कार किया गया है. इस मंत्र से सभी पाप और विघ्न नष्ट हो जाते हैं. यह मन्त्र सभी मंगलों में प्रथम मंगल है.

1. navakāra mahāmantra deva [god] :- Here the word deva [god] is used in two meanings-1. Heavenly gods-where the souls takes birth for a limited period as a result of good deeds.
2. arihantas and siddha bhagavantas having attained the perfect form of soul due to annihilation of karmas, who are venerable gods in the path of salvation.
Introduction of the sutra :
By this sūtra [aphorism], obeisance is offered to the arihanta, the siddha, the ācārya, the upādhyāya, and the sādhu- the pañca [five] paramesthis. By means of this mantra, all sins and impediments get annihilated. This holy hymn is the most auspicious among all the auspices.
