एवं सिद्धे बुद्धे विरते विपावे दन्ते दविए अलं ताई णो पुणरवि इच्चत्थं हव्वमागच्छति त्ति बेमि ।
केतलिनामज्झयणं अट्टमं ।
अतः जो इस ग्रन्थ - जाल ( मिथ्यात्वादि आभ्यन्तर परिग्रहों के समूह लोकबन्धन) को दुःख का हेतु और दुःखप्रद जानकर, उसका छेदन करता है और संयम में स्थिर होता है, वह मुनि दुःखों से विमुक्त हो जाता है।
इस प्रकार वह सिद्ध, बुद्ध, विरत, निष्पाप, जितेन्द्रिय, वीतराग एवं पूर्ण त्यागी बनता है और भविष्य में पुनः इस संसार में नहीं आता है।
ऐसा मैं (केतलिपुत्र ऋषि) कहता हूँ ।
The mendicant who discovers the binding woeful nature of all bondages and acquisition, rightly demolishes these to win tranquillity and lasting wisdom and thus abadons al woe.
This is the means, then, for an aspirant to attain purity, enlightenment, emancipation, piety, abstinence and nonattachment. Such a being is freed of the chain of reincarnations. Thus I, kaitaliputra, the seer, do pronounce. केतलि नामक आठवां अध्ययन पूर्ण हुआ । 8 ।
