I got manuscripts of VIII and IX pavans from Muni Punyavijayji in Ahmedabad I was in hopes that the manuscripts would correct the places where we were not satisfied with the text But I was disappointed. The manuscript is nearly always ends the printed editions. 9.4.34 has svaminocitam, like edition 9.4.92 has avrtam instead of anrtam : That doesn't seem to help much. Otherwise, it is just the same 9.3.255 even has the 'vasu,o though there is no doubt that your errandation to camu is correct.
The day after I got back I had a letter from the Director of the USEFI in Delhi. She had seen Dr. Mehta, the Vice-Chancelor of the University and talked to him about the printing. He had told her that ho would arrange things to my satisfaction. I saw him yesterday. He thought their new type would be here soon and, if so, he wanted to wait for it; but be assured me that if the University Press could not undertake the work from July, he would base an ontrade press do it. That he would talk to the Press Manager. So, for the present, I must wait and see.
