It is a very great misfortune for the "Library Miscellany to note the untimely dea h of its asscoiate elitor, Mr. Chimanlal Dahyabhai Dalal M. A. From the very first issue of the "Miscellany" Mr. Dalal was associated with its editorial sile and was responsible for the Gujarati side till last October when he fell a prey to the epide nic of Iaffianza. How by his able and Scholarly articles he made the "Lib:ay Miscellany" popular in the Gujarati reading public and was instrumental in spreading far and wide the gospel of the Public Library in Gujarat is known to all the Gujaratis. But it is not only as the Gujarati editor of the "Library Miscellany" that we have to appreciate his valuable work As a member of the staff of the Baroda Central Library and as an excellent scholar of Gujarati
