________________ ( xxvii) The manuscript has a correction in the bottom margin उच्चतरं नगरश्रेष्ठयादिस्थान प्राप्तवतो [Ms. तां] ग्राममहत्तरादिस्थाने निहीने। This agrees with the Chinese translation. (2) The manuscript has an extra leaf added in the middle of folio 59A. Chinese translation also has this portion. But Tibetan translation omits this (3) $ 97-98 (p. 90). The basic mannscript : gfagai [Ms ] Tarai a garageffort afaqoq.. Here, the explanation of pratipat and dharmapada are omitted because they have already been stated before (8 37). Tibetan translation also same as this. Marginal correction is - दुःखा प्रतिपदनागम्यारूप्यनिश्रिता यथाक्रम शमथविपश्यनामान्द्यात् / सुखा ध्याननिश्रिता युगनद्धवाहित्वात् / ..."क्षिप्राभिज्ञा तयोरेव तीक्ष्णेन्द्रियाणामिति. This is in agrement with Chinese translation. But the marginal correction omits the explanation of the Dharmapada which however is given in the Chinese translation. (4) Tibetan translation omits many marginal portions of the manuscript. For Example : (i) SS 2B (Ms. 2B) (ii) $ 9A (Ms. 13A) (iii) $ 10B (Ms. 15B) (iv) $ 21B (Ms. 21A) (v.) 23A (Ms. 23A) and so on. These examples can be multiplied. Wc have given foot-note in each such case. 12. The Bhasya explains the Abhidharma of the Vijnaptivadin or Yogacara school. And so it has many similarities with or quotations from other texts of the vijnaptivadin school and also abhidharma text of other schools. We shall quote passages to show these similarities.
