167. Since the understanding of non-absolutism does not occur
without Naya (point of view), so by him who is desirous of eliminating absolutism (onesidedness) Naya should be comprehended.
168. No doubt, the thing has been endowed with manifold
characteristics. From the desire to express one characteristic, only one characteristic is expressed, since the desire to express the rest of characterictics does not present itself at that time.
!69. Extolling one's own utterances and disparaging those of
others, they who behave like a pedantic person on that occasion remain dependent on the world in manifold ways.
170. Diverse are the Sivas; varied is (their) Karma; and
divergent is (their) capablility; one should, therefore, sh un verbal disputation . with the votary of one's own faith and also with that of the other.
