INTRODUCTION I have dealt with all these topics in detail in my book Jaina-darśana and the Hindi Introduction of the present volume and other introductions to various Jaina philosophical works edited by me; most of them are of Akalanka. While discussing these subjects, the historical development and the philosophical aspect are taken into consideration. They are also discussed in a comparative manner, comparing each view with those of other systems of Indian philosophy. So repeation seems unnecessary here.
