तेरहवां परिणामपद ] [ 127 श्रुत-अज्ञानी भी और विभंगज्ञानी भी हैं; दर्शन-परिणाम से वे सम्यग्दृष्टि भी हैं, मिथ्यादृष्टि भी हैं और सम्यग्मिथ्यावृष्टि भी हैं; चारित्रपरिणाम से (वे) न तो चारित्री हैं, न चारित्राचारित्री हैं, किन्तु अचारित्री हैं ; वेद-परिणाम से नारकजीव, न स्त्रीवेदी हैं, न पुरुषवेदी, किन्तु नपुसकवेदी हैं / विवेचन-नरियकों में दशविधपरिणामों की प्ररूपणा–प्रस्तुत सूत्र (638) में जोवपरिणामों के दस प्रकारों में से नारकों में कौन-कौन-सा परिणाम किस रूप में पाया जाता है, इसकी प्ररूपणा की गई है। नयिकों में तीन लेश्याएँ ही क्यों ? --नारकों में प्रारम्भ को तीन लेश्याएँ होती हैं, शेष तीन लेश्याएँ नहीं होतीं / इनमें से भी रत्नप्रभा और शर्कराप्रभापृथ्वी के नरयिकों में कापोतलेश्या, वालुकाप्रभा के नारकों में कापोत और नीललेश्या, पंकप्रभापृथ्वी के नारकों में नीललेश्या, धमप्रभापृथ्वी के नारकों में नील और कृष्णालेश्या तथा तमःप्रभा और तमस्तमःप्रभापृथ्वी के नारकों में सिर्फ कृष्णलेश्या ही होती है / इसलिए लेश्यापरिणाम को दृष्टि से समुच्चय नारकों को प्रारम्भ को तीन लेश्याओं वाला कहा है। नारकों में चारित्रपरिणाम क्यों नहीं ?–चारित्रपरिणाम की दृष्टि से नारकजीव न तो चारित्री होते हैं और न ही चारित्राचारित्री (देशचारित्री), वे अचारित्री ही रहते हैं / सम्पूर्ण चारित्र मनुष्यों में ही सम्भव है तथा देशचारित्र मनुष्य और तिर्यञ्चपंचेन्द्रिय में ही हो सकता है, इसलिए नारकों में चारित्रपरिणाम बिलकुल नहीं होता। वेदपरिणाम से नारक नपुसकवेदी ही क्यों ?–नारक न तो स्त्री और न पुरुष होते हैं; इसलिए नारक सिर्फ नपुसकवेदी ही होते हैं / तत्त्वार्थसूत्र में भी कहा है- 'नारक और सम्मूच्छिम जीव नपुंसक होते हैं।' असुरकुमारदि भवनवासियों को परिणामसम्बन्धी प्ररूपणा-- 636. [1] असुरकुमारा वि एवं चेव / नवरं देवगतिया, कण्हलेसा वि जाव तेउलेसा वि, वेदपरिणामेणं इस्थिवेयगा वि पुरिसवेयगा वि, णो णपुसगवेयगा / सेसं तं चेव / [939-1] असुरकुमारों की (परिणामसम्बन्धी वक्तव्यता) भी इसी प्रकार जाननी चाहिए। विशेषता यह है कि (वे गतिपरिणाम से) देवगतिक होते हैं; (लेश्यापरिणाम से) कृष्ण लेश्यावान् भी होते हैं तथा नील, कापोत एवं तेजोलेश्या वाले भी होते हैं; वेदपरिणाम से वे स्त्रीवेदक भी होते हैं, पुरुषवेदक भी होते हैं, किन्तु नपुसकवेदक नहीं होते। (इसके अतिरिक्त) शेष (सब) कथन उसी तरह (पूर्ववत्) समझना चाहिए / [2] एवं जाव थणियकुमारा। [939-2] इसी प्रकार (असुरकुमारों के समान) (नागकुमारों से लेकर) यावत् स्तनितकुमारों तक (की परिणामसम्बन्धी प्ररूपणा करनी चाहिए / ) 1.
