सप्तम उच्छ्वासपद ] इयाणं भंते ! केवतिकालस्स प्राणमंति वा पाणमंति वा जावनीससंति वा? गोयमा ! वेमायाए प्राणमंति वा जाव नीससंति वा / [667 प्र.] भगवन् ! पृथ्वीकायिक जीव कितने काल से (अन्तःस्फुरित) श्वासोच्छ्वास लेते हैं एवं (बाह्य) उच्छ्वास तथा निःश्वास लेते हैं ? [697 उ.] गौतम ! (वे) जघन्यतः मुहर्तपृथक्त्व और उत्कृष्टतः भी मुहूर्तपृथक्त्व से (आन्तरिक और बाह्य) उच्छ्वास और निःश्वास लेते हैं / 701. वेमाणिया णं भंते ! केवइकालस्स प्राणमंति वा जाव नीससंति का? गोयमा ! जहणणं मुहत्तपुहुत्तस्स, उक्कोसेणं तेत्तीसाए पक्खाणं जाव नीससंति वा / 1701 प्र.] भगवन् ! वैमानिक देव कितने काल से (अन्तःस्फुरित) उच्छ्वास और निःश्वास लेते हैं तथा (बाह्य) उच्छ्वास एवं निःश्वास लेते हैं ?
