छत्तीसवा समुद्घातपद) [267 - 2142. एतेसि गं भंते ! जीवाणं कोहसमुग्घाएणं माणसमुग्घाएणं मायासमुग्धाएणं लोभसमुग्धारण य समोहयाणं अकसायसमुग्घाएणं समोहयाणं असमोहयाण य कतरे कतरेहितो अप्पा वा 4 ? गोयमा! सव्वत्थोवा जीवा अकसायसमुग्घाएणं समोहया, माणसमुग्धाएणं समोहया अणंतगुणा, कोहसमुग्घाएणं समोहया विसेसाहिया, मायासमुग्घाएणं समोहया विसेसाहिया, लोभसमुग्धाएणं समोहया विसेसाहिया, असमोहया संखेज्जगुणा / [2142 प्र.] भगवन् ! क्रोधसमुद्घात से, मानसमुद्घात से, मायासमुद्धात और लोभसमुद्घात से तथा प्रकवायसमुद्घात (अर्थात्-कषायसमुद्घात से भिन्न छह समुद्घातों में से किसी भी समुद्घात) से समवहत और असमवहत जीवों से कौन किनसे अल्प, बहुत, तुल्य, अथवा विशेषाधिक हैं ? [2142 उ ] गौतम ! सबसे कम अकषायसमुद्घात से समवहत जीव हैं, ( उनसे) मानकषाय से समवहत जीव अनन्तगुण हैं, (उनसे) क्रोधसमुद्घात से समवहत जीव विशेषाधिक हैं, (उनसे) मायासमुद्घात से समवहत जीव विशेषाधिक हैं, (उनसे) लोभसमुद्घात से समवहत जीव विशेषाधिक हैं और (इन सबसे) असमवहत जीव संख्यातगुणा हैं। 2143. एतेसि णं भंते ! रइयाणं कोहसमुग्धाएणं माणसमुग्धाएणं मायासमुग्धारणं लोभसमुग्धाएणं समोहयाणं असमोहयाण य कतरे कतरेहितो अप्पा वा 4 ? गोयमा ! सम्वत्थोवा रइया लोभसमुग्घाएणं समोहया, मायासमुग्घाएणं समोहया संखेज्जगुणा, माणसमुग्घाएणं समोहया संखेज्जगुणा, कोहसमुग्धाएणं समोहया संखेज्जगुणा, असमोहया संखेज्जगुणा। [2143 प्र.] भगवन् ! इन क्रोधसमुद्घात से, मानसमुद्घात से, मायासमुद्धात से और लोभसमुद्घात से समवहत और असमवहत नारकों में कौन किनसे अल्प, बहुत, तुल्य अथवा विशेषाधिक है ? [2143 उ.] गौतम ! सबसे कम लोभसमुद्घात से समवहत नारक हैं, उनसे संख्यातगुणा मायासमुद्घात से समवहत नारक हैं, उनसे संख्यातगुणा मानसमुद्घात से समवहत नारक है, उनसे संख्यातगुणा क्रोधसमुद्घात से समवहत नारक हैं और इन सबसे संख्यातगुणा असमवहत नारक हैं / 2144.
